February SNAP Benefits Coming Early For Hackettstown Residents

The benefits will arrive much earlier than usual, but will have to last the entire month of February.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Hackettstown residents that receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will be able to access their February benefits earlier than usual.

The February benefits will appear on recipient's Families First cards on January 17. These are the only benefits recipients will get for February; there will not be a second deposit in February. The early date is because of the federal government shutdown, state officials said.

Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and General Assistance (GA) benefits will all be available on their regular days, officials said.
