Hackettstown High School Was Locked Down for Drug Sweep

Sweep was scheduled by Hackettstown Police Department, Warren County Prosecutor's Office.

Hackettstown High School was in lockdown Friday morning, but not because of a dangerous situation, rather as part of a planned drug sweep.

Students and faculty members were safe, assured police and school administrators. The lockdown ended just before 11 a.m.

"This lockdown is a part of a planned sweep of the high school that is being conducted, and was coordinated with the Hackettstown Police Department and the Warren County Prosecutors Office," Superintendent of Schools David Mango said on Facebook. "While the lockdown is in place and the sweep is being conducted, I ask that you please not attempt to enter or access the high school grounds or buildings. If you do try, you will be turned away."
