Hackettstown K9 Officer Dies On Duty
Jada suffered a medical emergency Wednesday night, police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - The Hackettstown Police Department are in mourning of one of their own, as K9 Officer Jada died Wednesdaym, while on duty with har handler, Officer Christopher Laver, according to Sgt. Darren Tynan.
"It is with deep regret that we announce the unexpected death of our K9 Jada," Tynan said.
Jada was working Wednesday night when she suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to a veterinary clinic where she passed in the company of Laver, Tynan said.

Jada was a Belgian Malinois who was just five years old. She joined the Hackettstown Police Department on July 14, 2016.
"Please keep Officer Laver and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this very tough time," Tynan said. "Jada will be deeply missed by all of us here and will never be forgotten.:
