Hackettstown Spring Fest Coming This Weekend

Annual event to kick off at Hatchery Fields Friday through Sunday.

The annual Hackettstown Spring Festival will be coming to town on Friday with three days of activities and events at Hatchery Fields behind Centenary College.

The festivities will kick off Friday at 5 p.m. and go until 6 p.m. Sunday (the festival will be open until 10 p.m. Friday night; noon to 10 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday).

The festival will invite kids to enjoy carnival rides and families to play traditional carnival games. Classic carnival food will also be available.

Two wristband nights will be held, according to The Warren Reporter, on Friday and Sunday where wristbands for unlimited rides can be purchased for $30 on Friday and $20 on Sunday. Regular carnival ride tickets can be purchased in sheets of 20 for $30 at Harper's Bagel Shop, the Fulton Bank and Jack's Scissor Wiz, the Warren Reporter reported.

Hackettstown police have mapped out a traffic plan in advance of the festival. No parking/tow away zones will be designated on Fifth Avenue, on the south side from Grand Avenue to the Hatchery Hill School driveway; Fifth Avenue from the Hatchery Hill School driveway to Reese Avenue on both sides (which will also be closed to vehicle traffic); Reese Avenue from First Avenue to Fish Hatchery Gates; all fire zones in and near the Hatchery Hill School grounds; and Fourth Avenue from Grand Avenue to and including the cul-de-sac.
