Man Turns Himself In On Stabbing Charges: Hackettstown PD
One day after police asked the public for help finding him, a man wanted on assault charges has turned himself in.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — One day after issuing a wanted persons notice, Hackettstown police say a Morris County man turned himself in on aggravated assault charged.
Maurice Nobles, 32, of Dover, turned himself in to Hackettstown police on Tuesday after being wanted in connection to a September 2018 stabbing, police said.
Police say the stabbing happened at Bea McNally's on Sept. 21 just before 2 a.m. A man told police at Nobles punched him in the head repeatedly, and pulled out a knife, police said.

Nobles was questioned by police at the bar, and gave police his brother's name, police said. The brother was wanted on a warrant out of Morris County, so after Nobles was processed on simple assault charges in Hackettstown he was turned over to the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
Police say surveillance footage later revealed that Nobles had a butter knife in his fist as he was punching the man. On Jan. 20, 2019, Nobles was charged with third-degree aggravated assault, hindering apprehension, fourth-degree possession of weapon for an unlawful purpose and third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

He was taken to the Warren County Correctional Facility.
