N.J. College Baseball All-State Team Picks Two Local Players

Two members of the Centenary College baseball team were named to the 2013 New Jersey College Baseball Association (NJCBA) All-State Team on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Sophomores Mitch Renz and Joe Forcellini were named to Second and Third Team All-State respectively the NJCBA announced on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Renz finished the season with a Centenary single-season best 1.40 in his nine starts as the Cyclones ace to earn the Second Team honors, posting 33 strikeouts while only allowing two walks in 58 innings of work. With a 4-2 final record, Renz helped the Cyclones to their first ever Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship Tournament victory over Gwynedd-Mercy College this past May.
 
Forcellini picked up Third Team honors after being named the 2013 CSAC Player of the Year, finishing the season with a .394 average with 13 doubles, seven triples, three home runs, 21 walks, and 33 RBI for a .648 slugging percentage. This season, he has been named a two-time NJCBA Player of the Week and was named to the All-State Rookie Team last year after an impressive freshman year.
