National Fugitive Arrested In North Jersey After Hitting Deer, Asking For Police Report: Cops
Kentucky man flagged down officer after accident, police said.

MANSFIELD TWP., N.J. – A man wanted out of Kentucky on a national fugitive warrant ended up in jail last after he asked police to write a report when he struck a deer with his car, authorities announced.
On Dec. 16 at 3:34 p.m., a Mansfield Township police officer observed two men trying to flag him down on Rockport Road, police said. One of the men told the officer he had struck a deer and needed a police report, police said.
While the officer was gathering information for the report, he ran a check for warrants, and learned Francisco Ramirez, 25, of Henderson, Kentucky was found to be a fugitive from that state, police said. He was wanted by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office on a no bail, nationwide extradition warrant for drug possession. He was placed under arrest and taken to Warren County Jail pending extradition to Kentucky.

The second man at the scene, Tracey Moore, was also wanted out of Morristown for a $500 warrant, police said. Moore was also arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was bailed out by a third person who was at the scene, police said.
An accident report was completed as requested, police said.
