NJ State Troopers Deliver Baby At North Jersey Station
A band of NJ State Troopers unexpectedly helped to welcome one of the Garden State's newest residents into the world earlier this month.
HOPE TOWNSHIP, NJ - A band of New Jersey State Troopers unexpectedly helped to welcome one of the Garden State’s newest residents into the world earlier this month.
Just before 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 21, a couple arrived at the Hope Barracks in Warren County to request assistance as the wife was in labor, state police said in a statement.

“Academy training teaches troopers to expect the unexpected, which is why the troopers were able to immediately provide assistance to the very expectant mother,” state police said.
Baby Cole was born in the lobby area of the station, WRNJ Radio reported, with mother and Cole later transported to a nearby hospital.

“We all love a happy ending and what better way to celebrate than with a reunion with the family, who stopped by Hope Station to thank the troopers,” state police added. “Welcome to the world, baby Cole!”
