One Arrested On Drug Charges In Hackettstown

A 17-year-old from Netcong was arrested Tuesday afternoon on drug charges related to marijuana.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A 17-year-old girl was arrested just after 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hakckettstown on three drug-related charges and one charge of improper safety glass.

According to a press release from police, the teen was pulled over on Route 182 in Hackettsvile for a moving violation.

When police spoke to the driver, an officer noticed the smell of marijuana in the car, the release states. Police said the driver had a bag of suspected marijuana and a glass pipe.

The teen was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance in a motor vehicle, and improper safety glass before being released to a parent.
