HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The countdown is on as the nights get darker earlier and Halloween draws closer.

As the night air gets crisper with the chill of fall and Halloween's spooky season in the air, spooky scenes are cutting through the darkness that entertain, some delivering chills of their own, as they also bring on some Halloween thrills.

One of these scenes is in Hackettstown, which entertains the eyes with the sights of Halloween.

Those who dare to stop by will be greeted by some haunted fun, which the homeowner describes as a “light-hearted scare house with some nightmarish bits.”

Located at 7 Lawrence Drive in Hackettstown, the homeowner proudly said that the “witch, stickman soon-to-be pumpkin head, witch silhouette and Peanuts are all homemade.”

The family is planning on setting out candy for trick-or-treaters and doles out full-size candy on Halloween [Oct. 31], as they like to do each year, for trick-or-treaters coming by in the best costumes.

Display gawkers need to be sure to follow all the rules of the residential neighborhood while visiting where this and any Halloween display is located, such as not disturbing the homeowner's display, checking it out too late in the day, making a lot of noise or littering in the neighborhood, while there.
