HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A teenager was arrested after he broke into a car parked at George’s Auto Body shop earlier this month, Hackettstown Police said.

The 16-year-old, from Independence Township, was arrested on May 29, Hackettstown police said. The teen was caught a week after police published a video of the car break-in, and asked for the public's help.

The teen was recorded at the auto shop during the 7 o'clock hour on May 20, police said. He entered one car, and tried to get into several more during a ten-minute period, police said.

He was charged with criminal trespass and released to a family member with an upcoming court date.
