Teen Arrested For Drug Possession Saturday In Hackettstown

Police said the 16-year-old girl was found with possible pot and a glass pipe.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A 16-year-old girl was arrested Saturday, Feb. 1, in Hackettstown after a police officer smelled marijuana, Hackettstown Police announced Wednesday in a press release.

According to the release, the officer saw a suspicious car behind the iHop at 200 Mountain Avenue.

When the officer walked up to the car to speak to the person inside, he or she noticed the smell of marijuana.

Police said a the 16-year-old suspect, a passenger in the car, was found to have a bag containing suspected marijuana and a glass pipe showing signs of possible marijuana residue.

The girl was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 gras or marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released to a parent pending a court appearance.
