Tigers Take Home Medals From Heritage Music Festival
Chorus, band groups win silver and gold for 'outstanding' performances.

The Hackettstown High School Music Department's trip to the Heritage Music Festival proved a success when the school's bands and choirs won several awards for performances in the Annapolis event.
"Each choral and instrumental group was adjudicated by three judges, whom consisted of highly ranks naval officers and college professors," the high school said on its website. "All groups received high ratings and special awards."
The school's concert band took home a second place silver award. In addition to the wind ensemble's gold award, Jeffrey Klein received a Most Outstanding Soloist award and the wind ensemble received an award for Most Outstanding Band.

The treble choir received a first place gold award while the women's coral received a second place gold award. Gabriella Devaney was the recipient of a Most Outstanding Soloist award.
The high school concert choir also received a first place silver award, as well as the jazz choir.
