For those who would like to hand out candy, they’ll need to register at 973-440-7966 or at mema22198@aol.com, by Oct. 28.

Here are some rules for people handing out candy from their trunks:

Set up begins between 10:30 a.m. and noon, with everything completed at noon.

Each car is limited to two parking spaces and must stay there the full time.

Those handing out candy need to wear masks, be socially distant, wear gloves as they’re giving out candy and bring hand sanitizer.

Cars should only be decorated in a family-friendly theme and can put a sign by their car with their theme.

Candies handed out should be sealed and wrapped only, like Jolly Ranchers or Hershey Bars, with nothing homemade.

In place of candies, other items can be given away like pencils, little games, crafts and the like.

Hand items to children, they should not put their hands into the containers.

Those using electric in their displays will need to supply their own.

Those with trunk decorations will be judged in four categories beginning at 1:30 p.m., as “Most Original,” “Scariest,” “Funniest,” “Cutest” and “Best Overall,” with a $50 Wendy’s gift card and trophy given to the best overall.
