'Whooping' Man Charged With Disturbing Peace

Man made noise near Main Street Quick Chek, police say.

A Hackettstown man was charged with causing a disturbance Saturday after police said he yelled and made "whooping" noises near Quick Chek.

Robert Foley, 22, of Hackettstown, was issued a summons on the charge and was released with a date to appear in court, according to Sgt. Darren Tynan.

An officer on routine patrol heard a man yelling and making noises near the Main Street business just after 2 a.m., Tynan said. He was arrested after being identified.
