Nine HMHS students traveled to Honduras this month with the Students Helping Honduras  organization.

They stayed in the volunteer lodge at Villa Soleada, and worked to build schools in rural Honduras.

There is a Children's Home, run by SHH in the village where they stayed. The group worked to help SHH meet its goal of building 1,000 schools. Just before they finished, they laid the cement floor for a three-room school  in the village of Balsamo.

The trip was organized by Christine Hluchan, a 2004 HMHS graduate.
