Camden Co. School District Gets Day Off For Eagles Super Bowl Parade

The school district also had a delayed opening on Monday because of the Super Bowl match.

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — A Camden County school district will close for the Philadelphia Eagles' championship parade.

The Gloucester City School District will have the day off on Friday, when the Eagles celebrate their Super Bowl victory in Philadelphia.

"The Eagles' victory is more than just a championship—it's a moment of pride, unity, and excitement for our students, staff, and families," the district's announcement said. "We recognize the significance of this historic event and understand that many in our community will want to take part in the celebration."

A handful of South Jersey school districts, including Gloucester City, had delayed openings on Monday — the day after the Super Bowl.

The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, to clinch the second Super Bowl title in franchise history.
