HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — One of the best pizzerias in the nation is right in Haddon Township. And that's according to a media outlet in none other than Italy.

Italian website 50toppizza.it recently released its annual top 50 lists, including the top 50 pizzas in the United States. Bricco Coal Fired Pizza came in 28th.

Bricco (128 Haddon Ave., Westmont) is no stranger to acclaim on both national and worldwide rankings. Big 7 Travel listed Bricco of the world's 50 best pizza joints last December.

The pizzeria emphasizes a commitment to quality, boasting one of the priciest pizza ovens in the world, according to Bricco's website. The oven requires a two-hour pre-lighting process and hourly monitoring of the intense heat.

"Our dough is aged, brought to the proper temperature, and hand-tossed to create the perfect bake," Bricco says.
