Haddon Township Pride Parade Postponed Due To Air-Quality Concerns
Organizers are collaborating with officials to reschedule the Pride events.

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A celebration for coming out has been postponed because of guidance to stay inside. Haddon Township Pride will delay its outdoor events, including the parade, because of ongoing air-quality concerns linked to the wildfires in eastern Canada.
The Haddon Township Equity Initiative — the nonprofit that organizes the township's Pride events — told the public that the events have been postponed, not canceled. Organizers will collaborate with township officials and other involved parties to figure out the new dates.
Several Pride events had been scheduled for this week. The Pride Parade was originally set for Thursday evening, with Pride + Progress Community Night slated for Friday.

The Equity Initiative thanked the public for supporting the decision to postpone outdoor events:
"While we may not be gathering in person, that does not mean our Pride ceases. To keep the spirit of Pride alive, we would like to introduce the 'Share Your #HTPride' social media campaign. We encourage everyone who has been preparing for the events to continue celebrating, raising awareness, and advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights.
