Halloween 2021: Trick-Or-Treat, Events In Haddonfield, Haddon

Haddonfield and Haddon Township recently set their recommended hours for trick-or-treating this Halloween.

In Haddonfield, the recommended hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct 31, which falls on a Sunday this year. In Haddon Township, trick-or-treating takes place from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 31.

There are other events that celebrate the holiday in both towns this fall.

The Historical Society of Haddonfield's Haunted Haddonfield Walking Tours take place this year on Oct. 22, 23, 29 and 30. Rain date is Oct. 31. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the Historical Society of Haddonfield. All tickets must be purchased in advance, and can be bought here. Tours will be limited to 40 participants.

All participants 2 years and older must wear face coverings, and participants will have to follow social distancing guidelines. Participants should bring a flashlight.

The walk is less than 1 mile with several stops through a cemetery. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and may include uneven sidewalks, brick paths, and unpaved paths. Call the Historical Society's office at 856-429-7375 to discuss more specifics.

A trunk or treat event is set for Haddon Township High School, 406 Memorial Avenue in the Westmont section of the township, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 29. The event benefits Project Graduation 2022. More information is available at the event’s Facebook page.

The Westmont Lions Halloween Parade is one of the longest running Halloween parades and traditions, and takes place this year at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30, on Haddon Avenue.

The Haddon Township Business Improvement District will host a Boos and Brews Halloween Pub Crawl from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 30.

“We will be trick or treating all day, causing frights and scares, getting gasps and stares with pumpkin beer specials, spooky shots and haunted cocktails at 8 great locations,” organizers say on the event’s page. Jitneys will run from location to location, including the Westmont PATCO Speedline. No cover charge or check-ins, and the jitneys are free.
