HET Golf Outing, Haddon Twp. Budget Hearing This Week

Other events this week include movie night in Haddon Township on Wednesday and farmers markets on Wednesday and Saturday.

The Haddonfield Education Trust Golf and Barbecue outing leads the things to do this week in the Haddons.

The event, at Tavistock Country Club off of Warwick Road, was postponed because of weather in June.

Proceeds will be used to support technology initiatives in the Haddonfield school district. Golfers and diners are invited to sign up on the HET website, haddonfieldeducationaltrust.org.

Registration for golfers starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The barbecue is from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the story of Cinderella will play out on the stage of the Dennis Flyer Theatre on the campus of Camden County College in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

Audiences of all ages will cheer with delight when the slipper fits in the timeless tale of Cinderella, G2K, Get to Know. This shortened adaptation of Rogers and Hammerstein’s production is perfect for young theatergoers. The magic and whimsy of the original show is preserved in every moment with Cinderella, her fairy godmother, Prince Charming and friends. Travel with them to the royal kingdom in Mainstage Center for the Arts’ production of Cinderella, G2K.

The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Purchase tickets online at mainstage.org or call 856-227-3091.

Summer Movie Nights returns to the Recchino turf field in Haddon Township on Wednesday. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk. This week’s feature is People’s Choice.

Farmers markets will be on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Westmont section of Haddon Township, at Haddon and Stratford avenues, and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Haddonfield at Kings Court, just off of Kings Highway.

It’s Peach Festival this week at the Haddonfield market.

Municipal meetings include the Haddonfield Library Board of Trustees on Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the library at Haddon Avenue and Tanner Street and the Historic Preservation Commission at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Municipal Hall.

The Haddon Township Board of Commissioners will meet for a regular meeting on Tuesday at the Municipal Hall. A public hearing on the municipal budget is scheduled.
