How Much Did It Rain In Camden County? See The Latest Totals
Monday's thunderstorms brought nearly 7 inches of rain to some areas. Here's how much fell throughout Camden County.
CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Monday's thunderstorms brought more than half a foot of rain to some areas, but Camden County didn't get nearly as soaked.
Northern Delaware recorded the region's greatest rainfall at an estimated 6.8 inches of rain, while much of northwestern New Jersey received 2.5 to 5 inches, according to the National Weather Service. The worst of the storms, however, skipped over much of South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia.
Here's how much rain landed in Camden County, according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's rainfall data:

- Cooper River at Haddonfield: 0.81 inches
- Great Egg Harbor River: 0.14 inches
- North Branch Big Timber Creek at Glendora: 0.24 inches
- Blue Anchor Brook at Elm: 0.27 inches
In fact, parts of Camden County received more precipitation outside of that round of thunderstorms in recent days. The Cooper River rain gauge measured 2.52 inches over the past 48 hours, while the North Branch Big Timber Creek received 1.25 inches of rain in that span.
It could've been far worse for South Jersey. Roughly 32,000 New Jersey customers lacked power Monday evening. About 7,500 remained in the dark Tuesday morning — namely in Somerset, Hunterdon, Morris and Warren counties.

Another round of precipitation already moved in Tuesday morning. Monday's will likely turn out stormier, but there's a "marginal" chance of severe weather throughout most of New Jersey, including the southern region, according to the National Weather Service.

"Isolated severe storms and scattered instances of flooding will be possible again this afternoon and evening," the agency's Mount Holly office said. "Remain weather aware, especially if your area received significant rain yesterday or last night - additional flooding is most likely where heavy rains have already fallen.

- Rest of Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms late this morning, then partly sunny with showers and thunderstorms likely this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds and small hail this afternoon. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
- Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms likely in the evening, then a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds and small hail in the evening. Locally heavy rainfall possible in the evening. Humid with lows in the mid-60s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
- Wednesday: Partly sunny. A chance of showers in the afternoon. Humid with highs around 80. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy. A chance of showers in the evening. Lows in the lower 60s. Northwest winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
- Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-80s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
