HADDONFIELD, NJ - Kings Highway in Haddonfield is about to get a massive makeover for the first time in decades – but the large overhaul also means overnight road closures.
Highway repaving is already underway, with road work from Chews Landing Road to the Patco Speedline Bridge already scheduled to be completed.
From Oct. 19 to 20, work is set to take place from Patco Bridge to Haddon Avenue, officials said. On Oct. 24 and 25, work will be done from Haddon Avenue to Evergreen Lane.

The estimated $1 million paving project began on Oct. 17 and is set to take place during the overnight hours of 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, meaning motorists will still be able to drive on the highway during the day.
“This work will greatly increase road conditions and efficiency for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists,” said Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “If you need to travel through these areas during work hours, remember to slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
