HADDONFIELD, NJ — Now that leaves are changing and falling off trees, it's time to think about fall leaf collection in Haddonfield.

The township's regularly scheduled collection begins the week of Nov. 7, according to a municipal notice. The Haddonfield Department of Public Works has three scheduled leaf collections between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Truck progress can be tracked nightly on the borough’s website, officials said.

Residents may rake leaves to the parking strip into piles but raking leaves into the street will cause stormwater drainage issues, officials said. Leaf piles in the street violate local ordinances and violators are at risk of receiving a summons.

Sticks, branches, ivy, grass, bamboo and flowers are also prohibited in leaf collection as the items clog the machine.

Cars may also not be parked in front of the parking strip on collection days, the borough said.

Other schedule changes during the upcoming season include winter monthly pickup, starting on Dec. 5.

The weekly chipper will end on Oct. 21, slated to resume monthly starting on Jan. 16, 2023.

Weekly vegetative waste collection also ends Nov. 11, the borough said.
