Margaret Jean Cronk, Former Teacher, Dies at 92

Margaret Jean Cronk (nee Thompson), 92, a former Haddonfield resident, died on Saturday.

She was the wife of the late Theos E.; beloved mother of Daniel T (Kathryn) of Lucas, TX, and the late Jay S.; mother-in-law of Susan of Atco; grandmother of 5; great grandmother of six and sister of the late Dorothy Grimsley (the late John).

Mrs. Cronk had been a member of the Westminster College Choir in 1943. She taught for many years in the Cherry Hill school system. She received her master’s degree from Glassboro State College in 1973. Additionally, Mrs. Cronk had received the award of honorary Kentucky Colonel.

Mrs. Cronk’s family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 10-10:45 a.m., at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield; where her service will follow at 11 a.m.  Interment will be in the Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 124 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield, NJ 08033, where Mrs. Cronk had been a longtime active member. Arrangements by Kain-Murphy Funeral Services of Haddonfield.
