Massive Storm Cleanup, Hundreds Of Outages In Haddonfield After Flash Floods
More rain fell in the borough than anywhere in NJ, according to state measurements. And more precipitation could arrive soon.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Cleanup efforts are underway after flash floods drenched Haddonfield on the Fourth of July. And some of the issues — including hundreds of power outages, road closures and debris — lingered into Wednesday.
Haddonfield received 3.63 inches of rain Tuesday — the highest total in the state, according to the state's rainfall gauges. More precipitation could hit the area in the coming days, making cleanup efforts even more urgent.
Here's how the storm has impacted the borough into Wednesday.

Road Closures
Officials closed more than a dozen Haddonfield roads Tuesday because of downed trees and wires.
Grove Street remained closed Wednesday morning between Coles Mill Road to Kings Highway for utility repairs and tree removals. Drivers should expect delays.
PATCO Up And Running
PATCO's stations in Westmont and Haddonfield were initially closed because of flooding but have since reopened. All stations are open, and the trains are making all stops, PATCO said Wednesday morning.
Closures
The Haddonfield Public Library will remain closed Wednesday because of flooding.
Additionally, the Crystal Lake Pool in Haddon will be closed until further notice because of storm damage, the township says.
Team Effort For Cleanup
As public works crews from the borough and Camden County continue working to reopen roads, officials advised the public to do the following:
"Please clean up small debris and leaves in the street in front of your property to allow for better stormwater management and flow.
If the inlet at the end of your street is clogged with debris from Tuesday’s storm, please help us by removing and bagging it.
*Please stay away from any downed wires."
