Save the Date for Steven's Walk

The annual walk, named for a local teen, raises money for spinal muscular atrophy awareness.

The eighth annual Steven's Walk—named for a Haddon Township teen living with spinal muscular atrohpy—is set for May 4.

Steven's Walk was the brainchild of Steven Potter and his family. The teen, who has SMA, a progressive disease, wanted to create a walk that both raised money and awareness for SMA. In its previous seven years, supporters have raised more than $100,000.

The walk will take place at Newton Lake, with proceeds going to both Families of SMA and for Steven's medical bills.
