Slain NJ Detective's Funeral Arrangements Announced

Monica Mosely, 51, served the Cumberland County Prosecutor's office for nearly two decades.​ She was shot and killed in her home Tuesday.

BRIDGETON, NJ — Memorial service details have been announced for Sgt. Monica Mosely, a Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office detective who was shot and killed in her Bridgeton home on Tuesday night.

Mosely, 51, served the prosecutor's office for nearly two decades.

Bridgeton police responded to a reported break-in at Mosley's Buckshutem Road home at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, and were told that multiple people kicked in the front door. Arriving officers discovered that Mosley was fatally shot.

New Jersey State Police said there are multiple suspects in her death, and authorities determined that multiple people entered and exited her home the night she was killed. No arrests have yet been announced.

Bridgeton Police shared the service arrangements on Friday. A viewing and funeral will take place on Saturday Oct. 26, 2024 in the auditorium of Bridgeton High School (111 N. West Ave, Bridgeton, NJ 08302).

The viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m, with the funeral from 10 a.m. to noon.
