'SpongeBob Musical' Hits Haddon Township Stage Through July

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — This month, Spongebob Squarepants traded his Bikini Bottom pineapple home for the South Jersey stage. The Ritz Theatre Company will perform his namesake musical through July.

Debuting in 2016, "The Spongebob Musical" took the theater world by storm. The original Broadway production received 12 Tony Award nominations in 2018, winning Best Scenic Design of a Musical. Nickelodeon aired a television special of the show in 2019, featuring members of the original Broadway cast.

The Ritz Theatre Co. will present "The Spongebob Musical" through July 30, with tickets available online for seven more performances.
