HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — As the Westmont Diner rebuilds from a kitchen fire, the restaurant is now expected to reopen this fall.

The Haddon Township restaurant has been closed since March 26, when a kitchen fire broke out overnight and damaged the restaurant.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, which broke out while the restaurant was closed.

In the ensuing months, the diner has been rebuilding its kitchen. Weeks back, the diner hoped to reopen by late summer. But diner ownership now expects the Westmont Diner to reopen sometime this fall.

"We are thrilled to welcome back our old friends & guests and equally excited to greet new faces at The Westmont," the restaurant announced Monday.

The Westmont Diner moved to its current location in 2021, replacing the former Crystal Lake Diner at 572 W Cuthbert Blvd.
