Amazon Fresh Grocery Store To Open In Lodi

LODI, NJ — Amazon is opening an Amazon Fresh grocery store in Lodi, a spokesperson confirmed in a statement.

An exact date has not yet been set for the opening, though Lodi Mayor Scott Luna said he and his borough council are looking forward to it.

"It not only enhances ratables, but brings in new life to our downtown area," he said.

The supermarket will sit across from the Borough Hall in the Memorial Drive district at a property formerly occupied by a Kmart, Luna said, adding that the vacant site had become an "eyesore" for the community.

"I am excited to get the project completed and opened," he said. "I welcome (the store) to Lodi."
