Busy Week For East Rutherford Firefighters With Warehouse, Industrial Fires
Fires at two East Rutherford business buildings were quickly extinguished this week, the fire department said.
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Fires at two East Rutherford business buildings were quickly extinguished this week, the fire department said.
On Monday, ERFD responded to a fire alarm at 2 Carlton Avenue, a large warehouse.
Firefighters found the source of the blaze as police started getting employees outside, the ERFD said. Firefighters kept the fire contained to the room it started in, in the back of the building.

And on Tuesday morning, East Rutherford firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 13 Manor Road. Google Maps lists the industrial building as belonging to a manufacturing company called FXI.
The fire was in an enclosed walkway between two buildings, the ERFD said. Contractors alerted firefighters to this spot, and they forced their way inside. The building's sprinkler system had the fire mostly under control, and firefighters got it contained.
