A smoky fire rendered a Little Ferry home uninhabitable over the weekend, police said.
LITTLE FERRY, NJ — A smoky fire Saturday morning caused extensive damage to a $450,000 home, rendering the single-family dwelling uninhabitable, according to officials.
At 1:47 a.m., a caller reported smoke coming from the second floor of the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 9 Franklin Street, officials said.
Responding units, upon arrival, saw that flames were shooting out the second-floor windows, and that all occupants had safely evacuated, police Chief Jim Walters said.
