NJ's First Drive-Thru Weed Shop Opens In Lodi

LODI, NJ — Bergen County is now home to the New Jersey's first drive-thru weed shop, three months after adult-use recreational sales went into effect across the state.

Opening at 200 Route 17 in Lodi, the gleaming 5,000-square-foot dispensary, called The Apothecarium, is the third retail location and 27th overall for North American cannabis operator TerrAscend, a company news release said Tuesday.

Built off of Route 17 and I-80, two of the state's busiest highways, TerrAscend Executive Chair Jason Wild expects the dispensary to serve as a major contributor to growth for the company, the news release said.

"We are excited," Wild said, "to bring The Apothecarium’s elevated retail experiences, including the widest product assortment in the state, while continuing to build meaningful relationships with the local community.”

The Apothecarium features a showroom and interactive "bud bar," where shoppers can see and smell the marijuana products prior to purchase. The store also allows patients and consumers to purchase products online or through the Apothecarium app.

Shoppers can expect a large assortment of "highly sought-after" product varieties, including pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates, syringes and soft chews.

Soon, all New Jersey Apothecarium dispensaries will also offer a shop-in-a-shop from globally recognized brand "Cookies Corners."

A grand opening event is set for Saturday, Aug. 13, where the company will offer joint-rolling tutorials, tie-dying stations, games and raffles.
