• Hasbrouck Heights Planning Board Approves Two New Applications at Reorganization Meeting (tapinto.net) — Hasbrouck Heights’ Planning Board has greenlit two residential projects and finalized approval for a Route 17 redevelopment that will bring a Dunkin’ Donuts, Jimmy John’s, and another store to town. At its January 7 reorganization meeting, the board also named new leadership and carried two additional commercial applications on Railroad and Industrial Avenues to February.
   

• HS Girls Basketball:  Hasbrouck Heights Gina Minichiello Reaches 1,000 Point Milestone (tapinto.net) — Hasbrouck Heights junior guard Gina Minichiello hit a huge milestone at home Friday, scoring her 1,000th career point even as the Lady Aviators fell to Secaucus. The packed Hasbrouck Heights crowd paused to celebrate with her family, coaches, and former players, recognizing the program’s first 1,000-point scorer since 2019 and a key role model for younger local athletes.
