Jaylon Kurt Accepted Into Acting Workshop in Dublin

Jaylon Kurt, a junior from Hillsborough in the Gifted and Talented Honors Theater Art Program at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, was among 12 chosen high school students from around the world to participate in the Tisch School of the Arts 2012 Summer High School Acting Workshop Program in Dublin, Ireland.

This honor was given to Jaylon because she was identified as a student who is disciplined, motivated and energetic, able to contribute to the growth of fellow students, work well in an ensemble environment and have the maturity and readiness for the program.

Jaylon’s other accomplishments include: acting in numerous college and community performances, winning an International Film Festival, and being awarded a scholarship to participate in a college level filmmaking workshop at Rutgers University. Upon graduation, Jaylon plans to audition at the Julliard School of Drama, along with the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory, the Tisch School of the Arts for Acting, and several acting schools in London, England.
