Annual Clam Bake & BBQ Fundraiser to Benefit Special Needs Children
The Manville-Hillsborough Elks #2119 will host its annual Clam Bake and barbeque at the Manville-Hillsborough Lodge on Saturday, September 12 from 1-5pm. The event takes place on the grounds of the Lodge at 1500 Brooks Blvd in Hillsborough. This year marks the 24th year of the event.

Admission is $35 in advance, $40 at the door per adult and $15 for youngsters aged 11-17; children under 10 are free. Tickets are available from any Clam Bake Committee Member advance, at the lodge during the week anytime after 5:30pm and at the door. Call the lodge at 908-725-1717 to arrange for tickets.
Admission includes live music by local band “Tad Schaefer & The 3rd Degree,” and all you can eat and drink. Food will include traditional barbecue fare such as chicken, sausage and peppers, burgers, hot dogs, salads and, of course, clams! Typically, about 30 bushels of clams are eaten at the event each year.

Attendance each year is about 250 people. Clam Bake T-shirts will also be available for sale.
The Manville-Hillsborough Elks hosts several events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for special needs children, veterans, drug prevention, Army of Hope and also sponsors scholarship funds and various other charities.
