Catherine Washleski, Sacred Heart Parishioner, Dies at 84

Services set for Saturday in Manville.

Catherine P. Washleski, 84, died Nov. 25, with her loving family by her side, at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hillsborough.

She was born in Excelsior, Pa., the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Folger, and was a graduate of Coal Township High School in 1947.

While living in Pennsylvania she worked for Shroyers Dress Company in Shamokin, Pa., for many years. Mrs. Washleski then moved to Manville and was a resident there from 1965 to 1972, before moving to Hillsborough, where she has been a resident for the past 41 years.

Mrs. Washleski worked as a deli clerk for many years at both the Manville and Hillsborough Foodtown grocery stores.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.

She is predeceased by her three sisters Helen Baranoski, Marie Pelak and Irene Rumberger and by her brother Walter "Feg" Folger.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Robert A. Washleski, of Hillsborough; her daughter Karen Washleski of Hillsborough; her son Dr. Robert J. Washleski, and his wife Marisa, of Flemington; and by her dedicated caregiver Fran.

She is also survived by her two cherished grandchildren, Colton and Rhett Washleski.

The viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville. The Funeral will be 8:15 a.m. Nov. 30, from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
