Garage Fire Ignites, Firefighters Prevent Spread To Hillsborough Home

Volunteer firefighters were able to stop the spread of a garage fire from impacting a Hillsborough home on Monday.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Volunteer firefighters were able to stop the spread of a garage fire from impacting a Hillsborough home on Monday.

At 4:06 p.m., Hillsborough Township Police officers responded, along with the Hillsborough Fire Department to 62 Michelle Lane for the reported garage fire.

Hillsborough firefighters were able to put out the flames and the fire was contained to the garage, said Hillsborough Police Captain Scott W. Mc Carthy to Patch.

There were no injuries reported to the homeowners.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
