Heroin And Morphine Pills Seized In Somerset County

Two New Jersey residents face multiple narcotics charges after they were arrested for the possession of heroin and morphine pills.

Two New Jersey residents face multiple narcotics charges after they were arrested for the possession of heroin and morphine pills at the Warrenville Road shopping center in Warren on Wednesday.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force received at tip that on July 8 Mark Orlando, 39, of Linden, and Angela Siess, 52, of Edison would arrive at the shopping center n a white Cadillac with heroin in their possession.

A surveillance team watched Siess exit the vehicle around 10:30 p.m. And enter one of the stores in the shopping center while Orlando stood outside of the store. Once Siess exited the store, detectives approached both suspects.

“Detectives observed defendant Orlando attempting to place a black plastic bag down his pants but instead the bag fell onto the ground and 50 decks of heroin fell out of the black bag,” according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. “Detectives seized an additional 200 decks of heroin inside the plastic bag.”

Orlando was placed under arrest without incident. He was also found to be in possession of one Benzodiazepine pill. He is charged with:

  • Possession of CDS (Heroin) with the Intent to Distribute, 3rd Degree
  • Possession of CDS (Benzodiazepine Pill), 4th Degree

Siess gave detectives voluntary consent to search her vehicle, purse and her person. Task Force members located 9 ½ morphine pills in an unmarked prescription bottle and 2 decks of heroin in another unmarked prescription bottle.

Two additional partially filled prescription bottles bearing Siess’ name were also located. During the processing of Sess it was discovered that one of the prescription bottles prescribed to her did not contain the correct medication. The 36 pills inside the bottle were identified as Benzodiazepine.

Siess is charged with:

  • Possession of CDS (Heroin),3rd Degree
  • Possession of CDS (Morphine Pills), 3rd Degree
  • Possession of CDS (Benzodiazepine Pill), 4th Degree

They are both currently lodged at Somerset County Jail.
