Hillsborough High School Boys Swim Team Honored For Winning State Championship
Hillsborough Township Mayor John Ciccarelli recognized the swim team with a proclamation at the March 25 Committee meeting.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough High School Boys Swim Team was recently honored by the Township Committee for having "a very successful season because of their hard work and dedication."
Hillsborough Township Mayor John Ciccarelli recognized the swim team with a proclamation at the March 25 Committee meeting.
"The Mayor and Hillsborough Township Committee, do hereby commend the 2024/2025 Hillsborough High School Boys Swim Team, Coaches, and parents, not only for their successful season but for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the sport and to those principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement which the organization endorses," according to the proclamation.

The 2024/2025 Hillsborough High School Boys Swim Team won the Central Jersey Group 4 State Sectional Championship. This was the fifth consecutive Central Jersey Group 4 State Sectional Championship title and a total of 12 such championship titles since 2004.
The Hillsborough High School Boys Swim Team finished the season with a dual meet record of 10 wins, 2 losses and was ranked number 5 overall in the State of New Jersey.

The team was led by Head Coach Todd Sudol, Assistant Coach Adele Morgan, and Volunteers Jordan McChesney and Eric Rosenthal.
"Both our teams, the boys and girls, they take a lot of pride in representing not just Hillsborough High School here when they practice and compete. But they take a lot of pride in representing the Township here of Hillsborough," said Sudol. "This is a great place, great high school, school system, and a great community we have here, especially with all the support."
