Hillsborough HS Hockey Team Hosts Fundraiser Game To Fight Cancer

The game on Friday will honor Coach Janos' late mother Patti who lost her fight to cancer and current fighter and hockey player Arjun Jain.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The Hillsborough Raiders High School Hockey Team is hosting its annual Hockey Fights Cancer game versus Bridgewater on Friday, Jan. 3 at 7:15 p.m.

To support the team's effort, donations are being accepted to help two hockey families impacted by cancer.

This year will be a very special night as the team will honor Coach Janos's late mother Patti who lost her courageous fight with cancer this past summer, along with the team's very own cancer survivor, and active Raider hockey player Arjun Jain.

Funds will be donated to the International Myeloma Foundation in honor of Patti Janos and Happiness is Camping in honor of Ajun Jain.

Arjun was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018. He is doing well now and is playing hockey for the high school.

In 2020, Arjun's hockey teammate Nathan Bienstock biked 500 miles to raise money for childhood cancer in honor of Arjun. Read More: Hillsborough 12-Year-Old Boy Bikes 500 Miles For Childhood Cancer

Nathan has since committed to play hockey at D1 2023 National Champion Quinnipiac.
