Hillsborough Twp. Committee Candidates To Go Head-To-Head In General Election
Now that primary has come and gone, voters can look ahead to a contested race this coming November for the Hillsborough Township Committee.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Now that the primary has come and gone, voters can look ahead to a contested race this coming November for the Hillsborough Township Committee.
The Committee races for Republicans and Democrats were both uncontested in the primary election, with one Republican and one Democrat filing to run.
Now the candidates will go head-to-head for the one open seat on the Township Committee in the general election.

Republican incumbent John Ciccarelli, the current Mayor, will face off against Democratic newcomer Jill Gomez.

Somerset County Board of County Commissioners:
- Melonie Marano - Democrat*
- Nick Cuozzo - Republican
Somerset County Sheriff:
- Darrin Russo - Democrat*
- Michael Manochio - Republican
Somerset County Surrogate:
- Bernice "Tina" Jalloh - Democrat*
- John L. Sweeney - Republican
New Jersey Legislative District 16 House of Representatives:
- Roy Freiman - Democrat
- Mitchelle Drulis - Democrat
- Scott Sipos - Republican
- Catherine Payne - Republican
The New Jersey general election is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
