Hillsborough Township Health Department to Offer Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinics

Wednesday, September 30, 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday, October 1, 4 to 7 p.m.

According to the Township of Hillsborough:

Committeeman Frank DelCore, Liaison to the Health Department announced the Township’s upcoming Flu Vaccination Clinics at Tuesday’s Township Committee meeting.

“Flu season is upon us and it is important that you consider obtaining a flu vaccination to protect the health of our community; the more people vaccinated, the less flu will circulate,” reported Committeeman Frank DelCore.

“The Township’s Health Department will offer flu shots for residents at the Municipal Complex on Wednesday, September 30th from 2-4 pm and 5-7 pm and also on Thursday, October 1st from 4-7 pm,” added Committeeman DelCore.

Flu vaccinations can also be given by your regular physician, walk- in medical facilities, and pharmacies. It is important to contact your physician to set up an appointment to obtain a vaccination.

The Hillsborough Health Department seasonal flu vaccinations are available to Hillsborough Township and Millstone Borough residents, age 18 years and older. The flu vaccine will protect against the four strains of influenza most likely to cause illness during

the 2015-2016 season. There is a $25 charge to all participants unless a Medicare Part B Card is presented. Medical Insurance is not accepted at the Township’s Clinic. Those individuals allergic to eggs, have any severe allergies or have a fever may be excluded from receiving the vaccine.

Pre-registration is not required. Clinics will be held as long as vaccine is received. Please check the website at www.hillsborough-nj.org for schedule changes.
