I am confident that I can bring to all of our students, community, and Board of Education a well seasoned legal background, an affinity for analytical thinking, a collaborative and consensus-building style, hands-on experience with financial sustainability and years of setting and balancing budgets, an understanding of what the business world expects of a well-educated and trained employee, a recognition of the role that business can play in supporting our schools, first-hand classroom teaching experience which strengthens my respect for the value of well-trained, motivated, and creative teachers, and a proven devotion to the goal of every student’s success.

I bring a lifetime of experience in education, law, finance, and business. I am committed to public service and providing a high quality education to our children so in the future they can thrive as individuals, become lifelong learners, and perform well in a competitive global economic environment.

If elected, my priorities will be:

  • A curriculum that builds knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking skills;
  • Reasonable class sizes for an environment conducive to a positive learning experience;
  • Highly educated and well trained teachers provided with excellent professional growth opportunities for the benefit of our students;
  • Technology which enhances student learning;
  • Professional partnerships and improved communication with businesses and the community at large;
  • Appropriate investment in maintaining our building infrastructure; and
  • Balancing these needs with the economic realities of the time to provide a fiscally sustainable high quality education.

I would be honored to serve our community as a member of the Board of Education. Please vote for me on Tuesday, April 17 between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.  Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Aldo Martinez
