Letter to the Editor: Soisson a Natural at Motivating Groups
Resident believes in BOE candidate's track record with school associations

The following is a Letter to the Editor submitted by township resident Camie Johnsen.
I have known Lorraine Soisson for several years and have had the opportunity to work more closely with her these past two years in my role as treasurer on the (ARIS) Home and School Executive Board. It is through this working relationship that I have come to know that she has the skills required to serve the Hillsborough community as an effective member of the Board of Education.
Lorraine is very good at organizing and motivating groups of people to work towards a common goal. She has the unique experience of working with teachers, administration, parents and businesses alike to accomplish a common goal, most recently the Pavilion project at ARIS, which will be completed this spring. Her experience over the past several years as president of the and ARIS Home and School Associations (HSA) as well as the Joint Council of HSAs has made her very comfortable and confident in this area.

Budgets continue to be a top priority on the home front as well as at the district level. Lorraine has always shown accountability to the members of the HSA by staying on target with the approved budgets. The process of spending is always very closely balanced with generated income and a mindful eye is kept on what is being asked of the families. I believe she will continue to show this same respect and accountability for the families of Hillsborough if chosen for the Board of Education.
I believe the quality which is most important when considering Lorraine for school board is her absolute resolve to put the children of Hillsborough first. She has a true passion for making Hillsborough a better place for our children as evidenced by her unending service through the HSAs and other community activities. Lorraine’s extensive participation demonstrates her desire to continually improve the education system in Hillsborough.

I have lived in Hillsborough for the past 15 years. Three of my children have graduated from l and two are currently enrolled in Hillsborough schools. I understand the importance of a strong school board and would encourage you to vote for Lorraine Soisson for the on April 17.
