New Businesses Coming To Hillsborough In 2026

A new traditional Indian dance studio and an authentic North Indian barbecue joint are among the new arrivals expected in 2026.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — This past calendar year has brought significant changes to Hillsborough's business landscape. And some major developments are already underway that could shape 2026.

Here are a two businesses expected to open in Hillsborough in 2026:

Navaranjitha Performing Arts Center

A new traditional Indian dance studio is coming to the Hillsborough Business Center.

Navaranjitha Performing Arts Center, a traditional Indian dance studio, signed a lease for instructional and rehearsal space.

Sigri Indian BBQ

Sigri Indian BBQ, which delivers authentic North Indian barbecue, is opening a new franchise location in Hillsborough. Read More: New Indian BBQ Spot Coming To Hillsborough

The upcoming Hillsborough location of the Craveworthy Brands concept will be locally owned and operated, with an opening slated for 2026.

"The exact location for Sigri Indian BBQ is still being finalized as our team is actively scouting sites in the area," said Craveworthy spokesperson Klaudia Rudny.

"Founded in 2015, Sigri redefines fast casual dining with a bold and authentic take on North Indian cuisine, inspired by the region’s roadside restaurants known as 'dhabas.’ The concept blends time-honored cooking techniques and culinary creativity to craft a menu that is both deeply rooted in heritage and approachable," according to Craveworthy.

Catcetera

Not exactly Hillsborough, but nearby in Raritan Catcetera, a new cat lounge and pet cafe, is preparing to open. Read More: New Cat Lounge, Pet Cafe To Open In Somerset County

Catcetera will open at 42 W Somerset St. in Downtown Raritan. It will be located next to Candyland Crafts.

"We work with local rescues to bring cats into a free roam lounge for interaction & adoption," according to catcetera.

A recent Instagram post by the business stated they will be opening in late January.
