New President, 3 Members Join Hillsborough Township School Board For 2026

The Hillsborough Township Board of Education held its 2026 Reorganization meeting on Monday night.

Incumbents Joel Davis and Jean Trujillo, along with newcomer Marc Ehrenkrantz,​ were sworn in to serve the Board.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A new president was chosen to lead the Hillsborough Township Board of Education, and one new member joined the Board at the reorganization meeting on Monday.

Incumbents Joel Davis and Jean Trujillo, along with newcomer Marc Ehrenkrantz, were sworn in to serve the Board.

Davis, Trujillo, and Ehrenkrantz were elected in the November election over N. Jannah Hameed, Danny Lee, and John Fluet.

At the meeting, Joel Davis was unanimously chosen to serve as Board President.

"Thank you for your confidence," said Davis, who also thanked previous Board President Paul Marini.

"I just want to take a moment to thank Mr. Marini for several years of faithful service. I trust I will endeavor over this next year to hopefully conduct affairs as reasonably and equitably as he has," said Davis.

Marini was chosen to serve as Vice President, with Trujillo abstaining.

As far as appointed Board Committees, Davis said the board members would be selected on Tuesday.

The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School Cafetorium, 281 Auten Road, Hillsborough.
