The NJDOT has installed sidewalks, cut weeds, and removed barriers to facilitate excavation for the bridges at the Valley Road jughandle area.

Additionally, the NJDOT is planning to work in the area of the intersection of Falcon Road and Triangle Road at Route 206 by the Hillsborough Promenade after Labor Day, said Ciccarelli.

"That should be an eventful weekend when they do shut that intersection down," said Ciccarelli. "Work will be done over the weekend."

Ciccarelli also warned the NJDOT to stay away from the Township's Restaurant Week set for Sept. 23, through Sept. 28 and also the weekend of the newly created 5K race called The Chase 5k on Saturday, Sept. 27.

"There is some progress, there is some planning," said Ciccarelli, who noted that slowly but surely the project is moving forward.

Doctors Way to Valley Road Phase 2 Project is expected to finish in the fall of 2026.

Phase 3 will encompass Valley Road to Brown Avenue (the railroad track and the bridge) and is not expected to begin until Phase 2 is completed in 2026.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation has funding agreements for Phase 3 that run from 2027 to 2030.

The project at the bridge entails working with Norfolk Southern Railway.

Phase 3 will likely be completed in 2030.
