Reminder: Salute To Veterans Breakfast on Saturday
Hillsborough Township has reminded veterans, spouses and widows the Annual Salute to Veterans Breakfast will take place this weekend.

Hillsborough Township is reminding Township veterans, spouses and widows that the Annual Salute to Veterans Breakfast will be taking place this weekend, Saturday, May 23.
The breakfast will take place rain or shine.
The Salute to Veterans Breakfast was added to the township’s Annual Memorial Day Parade and Garden of Honor Commemoration Program 10 years ago. Each year about 250 veterans and family attend the breakfast, the township said.

“All Hillsborough Veterans, spouses and widows are invited to be our guests at the Annual Salute to Veterans Breakfast to be held the morning of Saturday, May 23,” Hillsborough Mayor Doug Tomson said in a release from the township.
The agenda for the day includes check in for the breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with the pre-parade breakfast starting at 8 a.m. Following the breakfast, will be the unveiling of the Monument on Veterans Way, the Memorial Day Parade and Garden of Honor Ceremony, according to Hillsborough Township.

“It is an honor for which we in Hillsborough are truly humbled to have the opportunity to recognize our Veterans and have a physical tribute to memorialize our Veterans as a permanent reminder of the many sacrifices our military personnel and their families make in protection of our freedom as a nation,” Tomson added.
Registration for the event concluded on May 15. Registration is required to attend the Salute to Veterans Breakfast.
